Join our immersive 5-session course and explore the vibrant world of stained glass through the elegant Tiffany copper foiling method . Whether you're a curious beginner or looking to refine your technique, this hands-on series will guide you step by step through the essentials of stained glass artistry. Each session will be guided by Bev over 5 x 3-3.5 hour sessions and you will create several pieces during the course to help you bed in your newly learned skill.   Topics include:  Working safely, tools, materials and chemicals, navigating starter kits. Choosing & cutting glass, grinding and foiling techniques and good practice Soldering good practice, including decorative work and embellishments, finishing - patinas, and display These classes are small with between 1 and 2 people and can be personalised with your outcomes in mind.  All materials are supplied and classes are booked to suit with appropriate periods of time in between sessions to allow for practice at home. All participants will be expected to follow safety practices and wear protective equipment/clothing as indicated by the tutor. Due to the lead content of the solder used, this course is not suitable if you are pregnant or breast feeding. Please be aware that due to the nature of working with glass, it is of course possible that minor finger cuts and grazes can happen. Please do not wear open toe shoes. Wear comfortable casual clothing. Once purchased, courses are non-refundable. Courses to be completed within 18 months of purchase. Once a session date is arranged, this can be changed by the participant in writing, up to 48 hours prior without any additional charge. If in the unavoidable event that the tutors have to cancel, the participant will be offered a new convenient session date.
